Dairy

Dairy farms produces milk, and products that are made from milk (such as cheese). Dairy farms will have dairy cows which will be engineered to produce as much milk as possible. Some farms may also include goats for milk, but this milk will likely be more expensive since it can’t compete in volume that a cow will. The goal is to produce as much milk, and other dairy as possible to allow the Kaldan consumer to have cost effective, and reliable sources of dairy. If enough dairy is produced, then there will be tariffs on imported dairy to help the Kaldan farmers compete. Most of the dairy is likely to not be exported.

For families on low income, one solution might be to provide for powdered milk. This is milk that is dehydrated, and stored in bags to provide for fresh milk. This will cost more to produce the milk, but will be a lifesaver for those low income families to have a reliable source of milk. This will allow the milk to be stored without it going bad, and requiring the need to buy more milk because of the spoilage.

Regular milk is under price control. Flavored milk (such as chocolate milk) is not under price control. This is to help provide for a healthy family, and accommodate for the fact that flavored milk requires additional resources to make that milk.

The government will invest in the production of cheese. While some private companies will be able to produce their own cheeses, the government will produce cheese in bricks that will then be sold by Food Plus stores. This will give low income families the ability to acquire cheese at an affordable cost. This is necessary since many low income households will have a hard time buying foods. The brick cheese sold by the government will be under price control, and sold exclusively through Food Plus.
